Highland Drive Drainage Improvements Project

Lower Makefield Township is replacing the existing culvert located along Highland Drive. The current culvert is aged and in need of replacement.

• The closure of Highland Drive between Taylorsville Road and Upton Lane will start Monday, September 29, 2025 and last through the end of the year.
• The bridge will be removed and no vehicles will be able to cross. All access to the homes within this closure area must be from Lower Hilltop.  Please pass this information onto the respective personnel and communications, as necessary. 

This project will:
• Replace the existing culvert;
• Rehabilitate and expand the existing storm sewer system;
• Provide additional controlled stormwater flow capacity; and
• Restore the surrounding streambanks and roadway areas impacted by construction
