At their meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors continued its discussion regarding the potential implementation of a stormwater utility fee to support the Township’s stormwater management program. Representatives from Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) provided a presentation outlining potential rate structures/approaches. While no final decision was made relative to rate structure, the Board expressed general preference for a two-tiered rate structure.

The Board is exploring this option as part of its broader commitment to maintaining and improving critical stormwater infrastructure, addressing flooding concerns, and meeting state and federal stormwater management mandates. A stormwater utility fee would provide a dedicated and sustainable funding source to support these efforts.

No final decisions have been made. The discussion will continue at future public meetings, and additional information will be shared as the Township evaluates next steps and makes decisions.

The full HRG presentation from the November 5th meeting is available here.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate in upcoming discussions.

More information will be posted on the Township website as it becomes available.
