Verizon

For Zoning Appeal #23-1999, Verizon Wireless, is willing to conduct a “balloon test” on the Beth El Synagogue property, 375 Stony Hill Road. The purpose of the balloon test is to assess the visibility and possible alternate designs of Verizon’s proposed tower. A brightly colored helium-filled balloon will be flown at a tethered height equal to the height of a hypothetical pole structure – in this case, 150 feet above the ground. Photographs from various vantage points around the Property and off-site will be taken, from which photo-simulations will be prepared of the structure in proper scale. The goal is to provide a fairly realistic depiction of what a hypothetical structure will look like if placed at that location.

Verizon HAS TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED THE BALLOON TEST FOR THIS FRIDAY MORNING, APRIL 14, 2023, STARTING ABOUT 8:00 A.M. AND CONTINUING TO ABOUT 10:00 A.M. (WEATHER PERMITTING).

In the event that weather conditions do not appear favorable for Friday morning, Verizon will try again on an alternate date, to be determined.
