Leaf Collection Update:
Leaf crews have benefited from favorable weather, putting us ahead of schedule. By the end of this week (November 10th), Zones 1 through 8 and 14 will be completed. Moving into next week (November 13th) our focus shifts to Zones 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and the accelerated progress in Zones 15, 16, and 17. PLEASE NOTE ZONES 15, 16, 17 ARE AHEAD OF THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATED SCHEDULE. While this might pose a minor inconvenient to residents, seizing weather opportunities is crucial.
As a reminder, please refrain from raking leaves onto the road, as it poses risks to drivers, pedestrians, and may lead to flooding due to clogged storm drain inlets and pipes.
We acknowledge the few concerns about leaf debris spillage from our collection trucks. The challenge stems from the extremely dry condition of the leaves being gathered, leading to significant spillage during the vacuum operation. While we empathize with residents’ inconvenience, please understand that our goal is to collect all leaf piles, not necessarily to achieve perfect cleanliness. We’re working diligently to address this issue.
